In 1983 Paul Stauffer had an idea for an auto repair business that
would serve the Rockford community with integrity, customer
service, and using the most current technology. The Auto Clinic
began operation on Rockford's west side in the Zatrell Body Shop.
In 1984, the Stauffer family moved the Auto Clinic to a Marathon
Station on 1st Avenue and 6th Street. Finally in 1992, they built the
current Auto Clinic at 4109 E. State Street. In 2007 the torch was
passed on to Paul’s oldest son Brad and his family to continue the
Auto Clinic’s excellent reputation within the community. (view

The Way We Run Our Business
The Auto Clinic of Rockford operates on one basic principal
and that is, “Treat every customer the way we would like to be
treated. Being honest, understanding and by standing behind
the quality work of our ASE Master Certified technicians.”
Having to deal with unexpected auto repairs can be stressful
and frustrating so we do all we can to get your vehicle back
on the road as soon as possible. We will explain or show you
what your vehicle repair involves, give you any alternatives
available and try our best to do the job at a reasonable cost.
